Get Yours Now and Avoid Line Ups

Announcement from - Lou Gervino
Superintendent
Garry Street Business Centre

Winnipeg Transit has launched the new peggo smart card fare payment system on July 4, 2016.

To get the peggo card at no charge and avoid line ups we recommend that you visit the Customer Service Centre now at 414 Osborne.

After the launch period, there will be a $5.00 charge for the peggo card and a $5.00 charge for the photo.

Special Notes

• Winnipeg bus operators will continue to accept the CNIB card by itself as fare payment. However, the smart card is available to all our riders. The usage of the peggo card will help us track bus ridership and provide us with valuable information to improve service and routing.

• If you are a CNIB cardholder, but prefer to use a smart card, you will be issued one at our Customer Service Centre located at 414 Osborne. The Customer Service Centre is open Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

• The peggo card will look the same as all other passenger cards with the exception of a photo placed on the back for bus operator validation.

• The smart card will have a 10 year exempt fare product encoded on the card and will be distributed for no charge during the launch period.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Winnipeg 311.
