Season Wrap Up Saturday, March 22nd

As the 2013/14 curling season comes to a close, we will curl our last regular season game on Saturday, March 22, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM.

We are very pleased and proud to say that we have introduced curling to a number of new people this season. VIRN welcomes everyone and that was clearly reflected in the wide variety of new people who came out and who have expressed an interest in continuing and want to join a team next season.

Our VI Curling program concentrates on Grassroots Development by offering clinics, ongoing coaching and networking with other clubs and curlers to provide a positive experience for people who are vision impaired, their families and friends. Our goal is to sustain interest in the game and continue to build our curling program.

We sincerely believe that the VIRN Curling program has made a difference to our new curlers and to our seasoned curlers in building their confidence, improving their skill level and developing a better understanding of the game and game strategy. This we know will help produce good curlers for the future.

We curl every Saturday from October to the end of March from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at the Thistle Curling Club on 280 Burnell St, Winnipeg and are proud members of CurlManitoba.

Thank you to everyone at the Thistle Curling Club for making us feel so welcome and for another successful season.

Over the last three years VIRN has focused on grassroots development and this has made a stronger foundation towards building teams for both recreational and competitive curling. We look forward to a great 2014/15 season with some exciting changes to our curling program.
