Peer Support For Seniors

photo of a choir and piano player

One of the fastest growing populations of people who experience vision loss are seniors.

The VIRN community offers peer support for seniors with a vision impairment. The Winnipeg & District gets together throughout the year for dinners, concerts and other activities and have been doing this since 1951.

These gatherings offer an opportunity for seniors who are vision impaired, their families and friends to share thoughts, personal experiences and ideas in a friendly supportive environment.

VIRN is always looking for suggestions for new activities and locations to continue to provide this very important program to this very deserving community.

We offer an updated toll-free news line to keep our community who do not have access to the internet informed. Share this number with a member of your family or a friend who think might be interested in this helpful communication tool.

VIRN is keeping you informed. News Line: 1-888-471-1919
